I have always dealt with Ellen Maranca for my projects and have recommended Ellen to several friends who have used her for design work and have been quite happy. She designed my dining room – including lighting, windows, wall treatment, flooring – my master bedroom, and is fireplace.  I think of her frequently when I enjoy those rooms.  I am completely happy with her designs. 

Beyond her design talents, Ellen’s greatest qualities are her listening skills and her pleasant nature.  She listens to everything that is important to you and masterfully works it into her final design plan.  She has a pleasant personality and I have always had a great time with her throughout the process. She is not pushy yet somehow by the end of the process stealthily moves me in the right direction when I may have resisted at the outset.  And it turns out she is always right.   Please trust her design sense, she is very talented.

Design Vision:   I love her design vision, she always wows me and she is very up-to-date and current with her styles and color selections.

Implementation:  There are always delays with any project i.e., fabrics not available, workers don’t show up, wrong pieces delivered.  Ellen handles everything with grace and ease.  She is calm and reassuring and not easily rattled.  She is a quick and confident problem solver.  Her easygoing style and efficient work ethic are a perfect combination.

Ability to direct contractors:  Ellen is on hand and available throughout the project and not shy to tweak, correct, or direct the contractors that she has worked with.  Furthermore, the contractors that she has used for my projects have all been very professional, efficient, talented, and reliable.

Timeliness of project completion:  My caveat is that I always build in a VERY conservative timeline. I plan for the worst and assume there will be delays, this has saved a lot of stress on my part.  As far as Ellen’s ability to coordinate and estimate she is very well organized, realistic, and accurate.  She makes herself personally available throughout the whole process.

I enjoyed the entire process with Ellen from beginning to end and continue to enjoy her work every day that I live in my home.  She is a true professional and a pleasure to do business with.
